pulley question
i bought my car and it had underdrive pullies installed. i know there was a smaller pulley on the alternator i just took off my car...but i never liked it because my lights would dim etc. so i used the larger pulley that came wiht my new alternator. should i switch back to the smaller one? which will allow my alternator to put out more power?

Just consider that with the smaller pullie on the alternator, you're gonna get more "Juice" but the alternator may not last as long compaired to a stock pullie.

still spining slower cuz he had underdrives, might bring it up closer to what it would spin on a car with stock pulleys

u said it wouldnt last as long if he puts the smaller pulley on the alternator, cuz the alternators gona be spinning faster than it was made to spin, but he has underdrive pulleys so its still not gona be spinning super fast so i doubt itll fuck it up

So... in effect, if he has underdrive pullies on the accessories and alternator he'll be spinning faster? As I'm to understand it, under-drive pullies are like rear end gears, but for your belt. Besides this would take probably a year to affect his alternator, I'm just saying thats what I've heard...

smaller ALTERNATOR pulley will make the alternator spin faster, BUT he has an underdrive crank pulley, which is gona spin all the accesories SLOWER
