header bolts
Ok. There has to be an easier way of removing these dam things. I have aftermarket headers and it seem like the bolts are literally touching the tubes. I get approx 1/8 turn on the bolts before the wrench taps the tubes. Any suggestions?

there is no way of getting a ratchet wrench over the bolt heads. it literaly a "C" hair away from the tubes |

yours must be different from mine try getting a cheap deep well socket and taking a grinder to the outer edge to make it thin. you could at least run the bolt in like that and then tighten down on it with a wrench

I have locking header bolts with the allen set screw in the middle...All i have to do is loosen the allen and i can turn the bolt out with my fingers as the allen is what locks it in there

when i get them off, i was thinking of taking a ball pein hammer to the headers to give a little more clearence. think there will be any performance probs.

you have to unbolt the ones the will come off easily first. then take the hard ones out one wratchet at a time and pull the header back with it, so the tube wont rub on the bolt.

i figured it out. I took the smallest diameter socket i could find, ground the shit out of her, and hammered it on, that god, they all came out easily.

had the same issue myself. till i cut the heat wrap off. took me about a half hour to figure out if i cut the heat wrap off, i'd have more clearance.
