thanks guys...now lets just hope, pray, cross fingers, etc...that it runs as good as it looks. this was my first extensive build. All the other shit i did never had anything to do with engine internals. my friend jay who put the bottom end together has build tons of motors though, and he thinks its gonna be a monster which is comforting. i think im literally gonna shit my pants when its time to fire her up though, which with any luck whatsoever will be this weekend. Last weekend i thought she was gonna fire up and i couldn't find a 9/16" drill bit to tap for my 3/8"npt vacuum port on the intake for the life of me. Had to wait until my dad went to wrk on monday and put the thing on the bridgeport.

SHEEEESSS ALIVE>>>> well sort of... worked on it all day the last two days tying up loose ends here and there. finally tonight at like 2 am we got all the electrical to power up. have some connection backwards ont eh starter relay i think...b/c the starter solenoid was gettin wayyyyyyy to much power to it and started burning. but the good news is that theres no fluid leaks so far and it turned over. my buddies girlfriend was at the house and all she said was. "wow...it sounds like its gonna be mean." thought i'd give u guys a heads up. she will start and run tomm, as long as nothing major breaks.
also if anyone has a pic of their starter relay stock or after a trunk mount battery swap that would be AWESOME. everyone cross your fingers that she starts for real tomm. i need all the luck i can get. haha.

Alright guys soo i have power to almost everything...fuel pump sends fuel (psi is like in mid 30's) no leaks!!, she cranks, have volts, have lights etc. I DONT HAVE SPARK though. just wondering where to start looking. I have an msd 6al and a blaster coil.
with key on and cranking no power to coil, have power going into harness on msd. couple of questions... 1) is there any sensor or relay that cuts spark completely (similar to a crank position sensor). my manual shows a diagram for a CPS (inferring my car to have one), however cant locate it on my car and forums state no CPS on 5.0. 2) could my MSD just be hooked up wrong, it was installed by previous owner of car, and i just unplugged the connections to it when i removed it saying to myself "oh ill remember how this goes" not entirely the case. Also, does the negative off the 6al need to go straight to the neg. terminal on batt or can it ground to frame like the rest of the car. Also, if there is no "rev limiter chip" installed in msd box would that be cause for no spark. 3) I also do not have spark going to coil on positive or negative. I know that the negative is supposed to pulse when cranking...is positive post always supposed to have power when ignition is on. any help/troubleshooting suggestions would be great. if i am leaving any information out just let me know what you need to answer question. Thanks again guys...if i can get spark i think she will start!!!!!!

yea im gonna check that out first...it seems to be hooked up right but im gonna double check it anyways.
ive been reading about an ignition switch under the steering column that could be the cause of this. another source says to check out the TFI module. I'm back at school for the week so it'll have to wait til next weekend. it kills me knowing that its so close to starting and im stuck up at college "learning" haha.

It's on the side of the distributor. The fat plug connects to the TFI on the dizzy.

some old lady made an illeagl left in front of me and I hit her... a dick head trooper showed up and arrested me for it... (I was in a mustang and she was in a caddy.... go figure... I was charged with the accident and the state dropped all charges because of lack of evidence...
