tranny/engine question

When I started my engine, we had this loud knocking noise coming from the pass. side back part of the engine. we thought it was a lifter or something alike but its not.
The weight on the flywheel is hitting the plate that sits in between the engine/tranny, and goes on before the flywheel.

question is: should I pull the tranny back a bit and use a long screwdriver to bend it back (hopefully) OR should i just cut it and pull it out and just get rid of it?

how do you know your flexplates not loose? thats what happened to mine. i dont know how the weight would be hitting it. it would have to be really bent. you need to take out your tranny and check it out

I had that prob with mine as well and my flex plate was loose.....pull it
