How hard is it to pull the lower and not the dizzy?

Basically i want to throw my other intake mani on my car tomorrow, but dont have a timing light, so i dont want to touch the dizzy. I know its possible to pull the lower without pullin the dizzy, just wondering how hard its gona be. I was thinkin about pullin my fn hood off

front and back, you are right. the gasket kit might come with 2 copper gaskets but use rtv. also put some rtv around the water jackets on both sides of the intake gasket. it holds the gasket in place and its also reasurring. you'll have to lift the rear of the intake up and then pull to the rear to clear the dist. it can be done tho.

I just did it too. One thing that is really helpful is to buy 4 studs and put one on each corner of the heads. Run a bead of RTV around the water jackets and slip the gasket over the studs. That way you will never have to worry about the gasket slipping when you are trying the seat the lower mani.

Idk what this rtv business is. I bought that 80 dollar ford gasket rebuild kit. On the heads, lower intake to block, intake to heads, and upper to lower gasket no rtv at all. and no leaks here. MAke a mark on the dizz just in case you hit it on accident. It's cake work tho bro.
