What relay do i need


what supplies for that matter.....im putting in a flex a lite electric fan, 2 12 in fan.....what relay do i need? will 12 awg be ok to use, or should i use 10awg? thanks in advance

12 will be fine, on my mark 8 electric fan i put it on its own 80 amp relay

a 40 amp relay from radio shack will work fine.

where did you get an 80 from? that would have been nice on the tauras fan that thing sucked juice.

I have a twin fan set up, I run each fan independently on two separate power sources, both running through 40 amp relays. I would not wire a twin fan set up with one power source. If something happens to it, your screwed. If they are on two completely different circuits and one fails, one fan might be enough to get you home or somewhere to where you can address the problem. I wired one up on a toggle switch and one of the fans to a key on hot wire coming from my windshield wiper harness. Works great, I run 160* in town driving.

my fan pushes ALOT of air. i got pulled over and turned my car off but left my fan on and the officer told me to turn my car off.
