New 5.0 owner story and Questions

So i moved to AZ about 6 months ago and i drove my 240sx down from WA, well got down here and really wanted a V8 car again so i started looking Well one pop'd up a 84 T-top 5.0 5 speed, now I wasn’t a big fan of t-tops but I figured it might be kool in the nice weather and I just wanted a car. well I picked up the car for 800, it had no exhaust and the weak 7.5 that made a lot of noise so it wasn’t exactly a daily. So I found a stock h-pipe and cross member,I got enrolled at the new high-school and it was about 2 weeks after I stared, I had drove it to auto to weld some hangers in and I was leaving the student parking lot at the end of the day waiting at a stop light when I heard a girl scream and I was like wtf? well just as I looked in the mirror a white ford taurse full of kids plowed in to the back of me, I saw his car it was fucked the whole front of the car was smashed in the windshield was cracked, I was thinking that my car had to have been totaled. HAHA well you got to love American made cars! it looked fine! the tail lights were cracked and the hatch was a little off but other then that it looked ok, the kid tried to say that my car wasn’t damaged and that he would pay for new tail lights, I knew that at the force he hit me I could have bent the frame. So I got his info and since I lived 2 blocks away I limped it home, and called my parents and then insurance they said that since it was their fault to file it through their insurance. Their insurance guy contacted me and said that he was sending a guy out to look at the car and that they were getting the hospital bills together. I figured I would get about 2-2500 out of the whole deal and they would total the car, well The guy quoted me 1700 for the damaged but they don’t make the parts anymore so they would have to send me a rental car, but since I'm not 21 or whatever I would have to have one of my parents drive me!? that wasn’t gonna work well the insurance guy called back and said that since they couldn’t get the parts that they would just total it and I would get a check for 4700! WOO OOH! so I signed the title over and got a the check that night! not bad for a piece of shit car and a some whip lash!

I found my white 89 5.0 5 speed for 3k it has a E303 cam rebuild 94 motor with 89 top end, sub-frame connectors, G load brace and disc brakes all around, and a 87 WC box everyone says it’s the cleanest 5 Liter they have ever seen! and it is. Any way I bought a new clutch cable to try and fix the pedal travel because it had like an inch of engagement and it had to be to the floor to shift, I also got a sent of 15x4's up front and 15x7's in back. Also a new hi-Performance coil. So I took it to firebird to see what it would do before nitrous and a new cam an heads. Well after my first pass on the return road I noticed that it was ticking a little so I rev'd it up hoping it wasn’t a rod bearing! and seemed to stop well I opened the hood and tried to listen to were it was coming from sounded like it was at the back of the motor and we didn’t think it was a rod bearing, we figured it was a rocker arm or some thing in the valvetrain cause it was kinda sporadic sound. Well I limped it home and when I pulled in to the drive way it now was squeaking, so the next day we took off the top end and found nothing wrong! so I got online and found that the throw out bearing will make a noise like that, and when I replace the clutch cable I noticed that the clutch had a lot of pre-load on it, so we figured it was that. Well instead of taking out the tranny and just replace the throw out bearing that we otta put a clutch in it so I ordered a McLeod Street Pro kit for it and in stalled it. Well I fired it up and took it around the block a couple times and it was still squeaking so I when to set the clutch aka 2 fat burn outs and brought it back and now it sounds like its coming form the tranny. So now my new theory is that its a front bearing in the case? Any ideas?

Cant help you there.... If I am not standing in front of the car I cant give any good advice.

Might want to pin point where the sound is coming from before you start throwing random money at the car.
