What a piece

So yesterday i got in my car and cruised around for a while and i looked down and realized my car was running at a little over half of the temp gauge. (it usually never exceeds the 2nd or 3rd line form the bottom.) It has coolant in it and it has a brand new water pump and i have dual electric fans. Any suggestions? Also while i was riding around i stopped to get gas and when i went to start my car back up it wouldnt start ! So today i bought a battery starter an alternator and this piece of S**t still doesnt wanna start after its been driven for a while. I think the starter is heating up and once it cools down it will start fine. Will a high torque mini starter solve this?

Could get an aftermarket Water. Temp Gauge. if ya have the extra money a good idea imo, b/c they are more actuate but how long do ya have to drive it before it gets hot. Doesnt really make sense to me, its not like the Starter is on all the time....Weird. hopefully someone will chime in soon to help.

If i drive it for about 10 minutes it wont start if i cut it back off and try to start it back up

is this the first time you have driven it since you replaced the pump? have you added coolant? there might be an air pocket in the line somewhere

it the starter and the high tq one will be nice but if you want to avoid it happening again soon buy a heat shield or some heat wrap. idk about the water thing mine has started to do the same thing, but it only get up to like the 3 line.

Mine did the same thing (aside from it being a 351w) It would crank perfectly then id drive it for about 10-20minutes and go to crank it and it wouldnt until it cooled down, replaced my starter solenoid and it starts everytime..unless my battery was dead, but thats a different problem.

On a latter note, Does it click when you go to crank it?

try heat shielding the starter first. probably the cheapest option. I also had this problem before and it was a combination of too much heat and not charging enough
