I am having trouble finding smog legal headers for my car, I have looked all over the interent but have not found anything. Does anyone know of a company that carries smog legal headers?

i'm pretty sure as long as you have a working smog pump it's legal. (depending on the state, it might not have to work as long as it is there)

I have ford FRPP shorty headers which they keep telling me aren't smog legal. I can 'pay' for a smog but I want to see if there is a cheaper way first......

I Googled CARB legal Headers and found several threads. If you click this link : http://www.rpmoutlet.com/gmsuvjba.htm you'll see that BBK and JBA make CARB legal headers for GM trucks. A little more digging turned up the spreadsheet at this link : http://www.jbaheaders.com/04productlistheadersauto.htm which clearly identifies C.A.R.B. approved headers for a 5.0L.

It will only get worse. Once all the tree hugging, granola crunching thug huggers get their way, we'll all be pedal powering our rides.

"Change" your address to a relatives who lives out of State, register the car there and away you go.

Many other States/Provinces will probably begin tightening emissions standards within the next few years, so many people who've had it easy till then, will begin feeling the crunch.

I had ford racing equal length headers on one of my stangs that had a little metal tag tacked on stating it was a stock replacement that was smog legal.

Cripes! I can't find it - I stumbled onto a Ricer site yesterday looking for something - brake kits I think, and this one guy sells CARB plates to affix to your parts. Custom laser ground, you give him the info, he makes the tag. Looked real authentic on the larger parts. He also made stickers for the smaller parts...

So I tried calling companies saying I 'lost" the carb sticker and that didn't work so it looks like I'm going to have to replae my headers with stockers. What a waste of time....
