Back to the Stoker

Ok some of you know my dilema/story I bought a CHP 347 stroker kit, Trick Flow CO1 cnc ported heads, cam done by jay allen, track heat intakes, and all the supporting mods to build my motor ---- but the only machine shop near me that knows how to do the work/balancing is about 18 hrs away.
I am thinking to send my rotating assembly and stuff to woody and just have him get me an aftermarket block cause I am going to be right at the point of cracking that block anyways.....and I either want to go forced induction or a big shot of gas on top of this setup anyways.....
My dad has to go to Tijuana back and forth for the next few months anyways so I can probably get woody to ship it to San Diego and my dad can walk it across.....
what block would you guys go with? and do you think with my setup I would be better running N20 or turbo or charger?

and could someone please edit my typo in the title to stroker not stoker....LOL

Id go dart, and Id also go turbo.

turbo gains are just sick and plus if I could go from nitrous to turbo id switch it in a heart beat

If I go turbo the only thing i worry about is finding someone to tune this damn thing. I have talked with a couple of people that say they can send me a tune for the setup I currently have listed and should run pretty good....I can always get a tuner and do it myself I just dont know how hard it is to do, especially with no dyno... I may have to make a trip to Mexico City and see if I can get it on a dyno there

no matter what power adder you run you are gonna need to tune on it esp being fuel injected.

dart or an R302 block. either will handle what you need. and you are for sure not gonna want to do a mail order tune. if you are looking at power adders, i doubt you have a place that will fill up your jugs that is close to you (maybe you do), but i would do a procharger or turbo. oh wait, you never said what your CR was. and what are your cam specs.

i agree with lx347..dart or the R block..i would go turbo but yes it takes a good amount of time on the dyno to get the tuning right so

Ok first of moving to the states is not an option....I love it here and would never move back and make waaay too much money to leave. second I am not saying I am going to order a mail order tune....Bob Kurgan is no dummy and knows my setup and knows about tuning fairly decent from what I have seen and can send me a custom tune to fit my setup. Yes I can get bottles filled here in fact for about half of what i could in the states. I can get to a GREAT shop here in Mexico City its just a long way. I guess I was just kinda thinking out loud. I am going to order a dart block or ship this mexican block I have to woody and have him do the machine work, and then look for a fox or another sn95 and build a 408 cam is .570 intake .568 ex compression is not set in stone yet

If you get a wideband a mail order tune is no issues. If you see anything fishy they ust adjust accordingly. My dad ran one on his 06gt for a while with a novi2200.

well you will need to decide whether you are going boost or bottle before you get your pistons because youll have to have lil lower compression for boost but youll want to go ahead with a higher compression if your gonna go bottle

of course Bob Kurgan is incredible, but putting on the dyno is very important for a good tune. instead of getting a mail order tune with wideband and driving around to test it out. dyno can tell you much more about what your motor is doing (especially on a high horsepower turbo, supercharger application). thats good about the bottle. it would be a VERY good investment to buy a 4 bolt main block. you will honestly dave alot of money in the long run. ya thats not much info on the cam, you might need to buy a new one when its all said and done since thats one of the last things you buy when building a motor. maybe not though.

ha wideband is good for seeing a/f ratio, dyno is way better.
06gt is way different than 408 with a blower/nitrous.
