Cam specs/lift

So on this web site Mustang Forums, there's a post with the specs to many of the AFM cams. Also on that same page a member gives an equation to figure out lift with 1.7 rockers. Third post down.

My question is this: Is the equation correct?

base lift x 1.7(or what ever your rocker ratio is) its usually close to .030 for every .1 of rocker ratio.

example some random number I picked
.334x1.7= .568
