Gas tank capacity

What is the gas tank capacity on a 1989 Mustang GT vert?? It was empty(according to my guage) and I was only able to put 39 litres to fill her up...Do they have a small tank such a 45 litres??

So we've got a just over 15 gallon tank and I'm probably getting 15 miles to the gallon so that means I can drive about 225 miles on a tank. Cool, I can use my odomotor to check my fill ups until I get my gas gauge working.

Wow 15 mpg? something is wrong unless you are talking about city driving.
