Svo Heads???

A Buddy Of Mine Told Me He Might Know Someone With Some Aluminum Svo Heads For A 5.0? Anyone Have Any Info On These Ive Looked Some And Found Out They Flow About Like The Gt40ps...is That Right? How Good Do They Flow?

The SVO gt-40 alum. heads.....That is what i have and i like them...They are fully ported and polished and mine flow very well....

The GT40X aluminum heads (and maybe the older Y as well), have "SVO" cast in the side. You can see it in these pictures.

I have a set of them on my car. They aren't bad and flow more than the GT40P but I'd compare the price of them to to some used AFR or TW heads first.

There were old svo Y heads there were IRON and then there are two alluminum versions y 303's and x 303's.

There decent budget heads but don't flow anythign close to a good tfs or afr head

haha thats what i told my buddy when he said he knew a guy with some svo heads for sale...

lookin at some edelbrock performer heads that have been ported and polished...

SVO was a model of a mustang and it was a turbo 2.3, never V8s. maybe this is an SVO head, but its deff not out of a Ford Mustang SVO...id like a link to a SVO V8 mustang, without a swap then...

Mine are engraved with svo on both ends of both heads...lol

SVO stand for Special Vehicles Operation. they made performance parts for anything ford back in the day. it has changed names a couple of times, fordmotorsport. but is now fordracing

the casting is a gt-40y, they flow similar to a gt-40 head, but it is a plus that they are aluminum.

with some work can be a great street head.

I am selling mine if you are interested in buying some....They are fully ported and polished and have 1.7rr's and have a 5 angle valve job and afm high rev kit installed
