Question

msd sal-1 or sal-2 igniton

Heres the thing, i know msd is the way to go but im not planning on putting too many power adatives on this one . However;I do want the more improved power delivery that the sal_2 offers but I dont feel i race enough to warrant the use of the new launch rev.limmiters and all the other bells and whistles. So in short is it worth the investment over the sal-1? Im not wooried about consistant launches as much as I am about power distribution and engine management. Im open to suggestions. thanx

Not to be a dick by any means but what are you talking about? an msd IGNITION box has nothing to do with engine management and power distribution. Also when did msd start making a sal-1

the new 6al-2 is the newest of msd's arsenal , it can control more than just spark , with the program they give you , you pretty much just need a computer to download all types of engine settings. check it out ,it's pretty sweet. Im just noy sure its what i need. Forgive me but this is my firrst pony. Just looking for a little guidance.

Im sorry i was a little ill early, not to mean any harm to you.. If you wanted to get an ignition box i would just recommend a 6al, you couldnt really use the 6al2 . Its not a neccesity and you dont really need it yet but many people like to buy them anyways. Its all personal preference really. I would opt to spend the money towards something else that would benefit you more..

the 6al2 is just digital and has a timing retard and a 2 step I think.

No downloadable programs etc, stuff like that is all in the 7 series and 7 series digital.
