save the ignition upgrades for down the road, high compression, blower, turbo, or n2o.

really?
in that order, what if you just want a better spark and more response?

if the car is stock an ignition box will be a waste of money
its the topping of the cake so to speak. Dont get one just to get it.

increase your timing, get a bigger throttle body a bigger maf, cold air intake (will increase your gas milage). just those few things will get u some better response, if u ewant more spark then get some high quality spark plugs, some copper core spark plug wires and a better cap and rotor and y not a new ignition coil while ur at it

another way to get better throttle response thats FREE is to set your TPS correctly. I reset mine for the first time this weekend, you wouldn't believe the difference. its way too easy too...

You can buy an MSD ignition for your stock/mild Mustang if you want but the stronger spark isn't going to do anything for your throttle response or horsepower. Like everyone else said, save the ignition upgrade for when you need it down the road.
