GT-40 Heads and GT-40P heads

this is for a 1991 5.0

The GT-40's are Iron heads and have larger chambers i believe. Where the GT-40P's are Alum. and lighter, but requite new headers b/c the normal ones will not fit.

Both are a good upgrade from stock. But what are your running now, your entire setup i mean, they can be very price friendly ( used junkyard ) But if your wanting to make some serious HP then you might want something better. What are your Goals for your car?

u can't use stock headers with them is what it means

gt40 - cobra

gt40p - explorer

Yeah the headers wont line up and fit properly from what i hear, but thats only got the GT-40P's.

Nope, gt40p's are iron. The gt40x are the aluminum ones

Your stock headers will fit but the drivers side plugs are very close and you need 90degree plug boots to clear them... P heads are also iron

yeah you are correct, my bad sorry. But they will still require different Headers.

BTW Smirnoff It says you have an 82 Mustang, did you swap out the Quarterpanal windows with the 87-93 style ones, and was that a big issues or pretty easy? Sorry just been wondering that for a long time....
