Do the Dart kits come with Dart blocks? The link you posted is a joke. Way too much money for that kit. If you want a well priced, quality stroker kit then contact Jim at FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts.

This is the Dart block I'm looking at...
Dart - SHP Small Block Ford Short Blocks

Don't know if that answers your question about Dart Kits.....but this comes with the short block and rotating assembly.

I don't know, their website isn't very clear on what they use for a block. I'd call Jim at Ford Strokers if you want the best deal and good parts.

Anyone with questions regarding our standard OE replacements, or our custom high performance builds can feel free to contact me directly via PM and/or thru our website email link.

I have a question for the naysayers - do any of these other engine builders offer a 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty on their products? Regarding the "hit or miss" statement, could someone clarify/provide background on said engine(s)?

For what is it worth, we have one of the best engine builders in the country - Mark Johnson, formerly of Reher-Morrison Racing engines in Arlington, Texas. With over 25 years experience building everything from small block Chevys, Fords, Mopars to full blown $60,000 (or better) Pro Stock and Top Fuel dragster engines, ATK is more than capable of assembling engines to suit customers needs.

And, to answer a previous question - we do offer Dart blocks on our custom high performance builds if the customer so desires. Yes, our HP20 347 Ford Stroker engine is based off of an OE cast block that is seasoned and machined to very tight tolerances, along with being equipped with H beam rods, forged crank/pistons, as well as big valve aluminum 60 cc heads...it produces 410 hp and 415 ft.lbs of torque. 410 hp for $5699.00 (including shipping...we do not need your core - the price quoted is outright, less tax if applicable). Dyno sheets are available for each build if the customer so desires/chooses.

At $2755 for a short block what parts are you using? That is a pretty steep price for a 347 kit so I'm going to assume you are using top of the line parts in which case doesn't matter anyway because the production roller block will fail long before any of the internals will even if they are chinese made pieces. The warranty really means nothing. Its not a good selling point. These are performance engines. If I was purchasing a stock rebuild, the warranty would mean alot but on a performance short block it means nothing because there are way too many loop holes for the warrantor to climb thru and not cover the warranty. I know, you would never exploit such loop holes....and either would any other business out there. Sorry if I sound a bit untrusting but I've been burned on warranties many times in the past so they are not a selling point for me any more unless it is on something stock. But anyway, back to the $2755 kit. What internals are in it? You don't even list any info on your site. And is the block a 69, 74, 92 or is the era of the block a suprise for when it shows up on the customers door step? Not to be a jerk but your webdesigner needs to put more info on the site. I'll guarantee its costing you some business. Look at FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts.. They specifically state "Seasoned Hydraulic Roller 302 Block or 351 NON Roller OR Roller Block, we have BOTH". Tell them what you want and that is what you will get. Some people prefer roller blocks for the ease of a hydraulic roller cam installation while others prefer older blocks for strength. Ford Strokers also lists the exact parts that come in the short block, not just a general description like "forged pistons" or "H-beam rods".

What kind of heads are on that engine? Looks kind of like those china made Pro Comps. Once again I think your price is steep, especially for only 410hp. 410hp is weak for a 347. Every 347 that I've had makes 410hp or more at the tire. Stangzilla on this site makes something like 430rwhp with a pump gas EFI 347. A pump gas 306 can make 410hp at the flywheel easily. I'd like to know what parts are used in these engines.

Not sure if you are attempting to smear our company, products, or image, but you are entitled to your opinion. Your remarks are duly noted, and we appreciate any feedback.

ATK strives to provide customers with what THEY WANT, not what is merely available. Yes, we do offer complete engine packages, with the hp levels people seek. We use many different vendors (Edelbrock, Comp, Scat, Eagle, TRW for example), as well as Patriot, PRW, etc. - engines are priced accordingly, and, should a customer SPECIFY certain components, we cater to them. Regarding the roller block, that is usually the foundation used, however, we also have available the early blocks - again, this is at the customers request, as we build custom engines in our high performance division.

You are obviously happy/content with your current engine builder, otherwise, you wouldn't be mentioning him. It is a matter of personal choice to the consumer. We, ATK, are not going to negatively remark about other engine builders, as we are not in the e-warrior business - we are in the engine building business, and have successfully done so for several years. If you wish for a list of specific parts we use (as there are many), please feel free to contact me/provide your email address via pm and I will gladly send you a list of vendors we use.

To everyone else, please bear in mind again that the prices on our website include shipping/handling, and we do not require/charge for a core (something that isn't usually included when quoting products such as these).

The 410hp rating is designed for longevity at this performance level. Yes, there are other 347s that can/do make more power, however, what is the life expectancy of those? We have designed a durable platform, which is a repeatable combination, that we offer to customers (using pump gas in NA form).
