check engine light 88 saleen

Let the guy who sold me the car drive and he got a ticket for going 85 in a 45. They almost arrested him. Now my damm check engine light is flashing while I drive and I can tell that it's not running right. I'm going to try to use a volt meter like the haynes

book says, but the internet probably has a better guide somewhere??? Thanks 1988 red Saleen 5.0

you need to put the car on jackstands, crawl under it, then have a friend kick the jackstands out.
