cant figure out what to buy...

ok so i have about 270 to spend at latemodelresto.com and i can't decide what to get... im definetly buying the trickflow a/c delete and belt for about 60 and change and some new spark plug wires. but where im stuck at is between the steeda short throw shifter (Steeda Mustang Shifters at LRS - Same Day Shipping! ) or a set of upper and lower control arm w/ bushings (79-98 CONTROL ARM KIT, TUBULAR, REAR, UPPER & LOWER, BLACK MUSTANG ) im kinda leaning towards the control arms seeing as how i already have traction bars i think id be able to hook very well. thanks for any opinions guys.

What kind of shifter do you have now? I'd want the shifter with adjustable stops first so I have less chance of destroying the glass t5 trans even though the controls will help with wheel hope a bunch. I'd say both are a needed mod and you can't really lose eitherway

Yeah definately go with the subframe connectors and control arms. After installing my subframe connectors and control arms, it felt as if I was driving a different car....You might look into a full length subframe connector, I would think they would be a little stronger than those standard length ones, but im sure the standard length ones would suit you fine.

BTW I got a set of full length subframe connectors from blue oval for like 100 bucks..

Do the subframes.. they should be one of the first mods for a fox iv'e seen stock foxes hook enough to cause stress cracks. With those subframes welded up and bolted to your seat bolts the car will feel more solided it sounds weird but when you hope and and drive it after the install you'll know what i mean.

Stock shifter is total junk but if the cable is adjust good it will work for a while but i'd rather invest in a nice shifter before damage to the trans occurs plus it's something you'll use allot were as the lower control arms will only really be used when launching but either one will work because both need to be addressed

not really, go buy metal stock, measure cut, and weld it to the car, it is as easy as it sounds

if you want to get fancy buy some small squares of metal and drill holes in them and mount under the seats and weld to the metal stock.

really not hard at all

Full lenght would obviously be better but not sure if there needed.. my turbo car which put done 460 and change on the dyno has the standard length t brace style subframes so it depends on what you want to do.
