4.10s ?


does anyone run 4.10s with an s-trim ? i'm gonna be doing my gears soon i was planning on 3.73s but i donno now im thinkin about 4.10s this summer i'm gonna be doin twedges and a b-21 cam maybe planing on an s-trim down the road. i'd like to here the pros and cons any opinions ?

4.10's are usually NA gears. I'd do 3.55's or maybe 3.73's with an s-trim

i know that but i wanna know why wouldn't the car be quicker with 4.10s ?

I think 3.73 would be a good "all around" gear for you. Maybe go with 3.55 if you do alot of freeway/interstate driving.

do certain cams for instance the b-21 run better with a certain gear ?

Certain combos yes......
Cam is part of a combo....

Your combo should shift at 6000....so 3.73 with 26 tire and the s trim.....

If its all motor go with 4.10's and 26" tire

I have 3.55s with my strim. I think Id benefit from some steeper gear. I like my 3rd gear rolls at 60mph, but I need a stronger intial hit.

4:10s IMO is too much for a FI car, id only run it on a NA 3:55s or 3:73s for boosted cars!

Probably going to run out of gear if you are running a 26" tire with any respectable S-trim/twisted wedge combo. You are looking at about 500rwhp. Stick with the 3.73.
