Intake Question...

i'm curious which will be more worth while, both are gonna be about the same price wise. Either i can get a TF Track heat upper and lower or i have a friend selling me a cobra upper and lower for 275 and i can get it ported and polished for another 175. Which would be the better choice??

TrickFlow, but as Snatch mentioned with the stock heads you are going to be limited....With that said I would go with which ever you can get cheaper.....the cobra will probaby be cheaper.... 275 seems high. I would think you could get them cheaper at the bone yard and I would not waste the money/time to port and polish them with the stock heads.....especially if its a backyard port and polish....does this port and polish guy have a clue what he is doing?

TFS is a better intake plus if you want to ever upgrade.. you can get more money back out of the tfs head where as selling a cobra intake is tough.

Tell him you want real flow data if he ports the intake. He should cut, port, then re weld the upper, and there will be parts in the lower that are impossible to get to.

I'd go with the TF.

If the porter knows what he is doing, the ported Cobra will make more average power than the Track heat on any head that flows 250cfm or less. I've done it and have the dyno testing to prove it.

and even a stock TFS TW head only flow 245

i would save your money and get a better set of heads first. you could take that same money and find a set of p heads and gain more power then switching the intake.

It def depends on what your future plans our the tf might be better on your future combo.
