Found 97 explorer motor
for $400
whacha guys thing about that. Comes with gt40 heads and explorer intake. Has 90,000 miles on motor My question is. If GT40 heads are ported how much CFM can you get out of them.

I know nothing about this set-up
It will be a 331 with the GT40 heads I need to know from someone with this set-up or who has experience with this set-up

331 has bigger displacement than a 302 right? so it needs moar air. gt40 heads barely flow enough for a 302

they will be ported of course. THe GT40's will be ported for more air flow.

I would say with ported gt40's your really defeating the purpose of increasing the stroke.

No. The P heads are probably the best production Windsor head. Production Windsor heads aren't going to be a good match to big cubes.
