H&R springs and tokico shocks/struts

I'm looking to lower my mustang a few inches and I was wondering about H&R springs. anyone use them before? They have a sport kit and a super sport kit. I want decent handling but not a have a terrible ride quality as well. I was also looking at some tokico adjustable shocks to go with them. anyone have experience with these products? any input would be extremely helpful.

I have the H&R springs and non adjustable tokico and I love the way it handles, but I did upper and lower control arms at the same time. my only complaint is the catted bbk xpipe scrapes and is pretty low, but I have a pretty small front tire. I love the way it handles and I dont even have my subframe connectors in and im rockin' a vert.

Are you doing solid upper and lower control arms at the same time?

yeah, I purchased upper and lower rear control arms from summit. the tubular summit brand... Which H&R kit do you have? the sport or super sport? did you have to get the bumpsteer kit and the camber kits? do you have any pics of your car so i can see how low it is... Thanks for your help

I went with these
H&R Super Sport Springs (83-93 Convertible, 94-95 Coupe) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

I didnt use a bump steer kit. My turning radius feels a little wider now but its no biggie.. I did the back myself and had the front done by a shop.

And this came with the springs and I didnt know what the hell it was for at the time so just in case...

You have to put the blue piece in place of this, if I remember right it was above the differential.

I think that thing is a bumpstop for the rear axle. its put there since the car is lower to the axle so if you go over a really bad bump it doesn't hit the frame.

But you say that this combo of springs shocks and struts works well? do you scrape your bumper badly ever? do you have a pic of your car and how it looks lowered? I'm curious to see how low it gets with the supersport kit and how it looks. do you have problems with tire rub in the front at all?

any clue if camber plates are a necessity? or will a good alignment do? I don't want to mess up my tires.

I don't scrape the bumper, there is a strip of plastic under the bumper that I scrape sometimes but its just like any car. The thing I don't like about it is the catted bbk xpipe is too low because I have an auto. Most people don't even run catted x pipes. And my front tires are pretty small, going to a bigger front tire would help.

And I do scrape the tires a little bit on some plastic when I turn all the way but it hasn't damaged the tire at all

looks awesome! does it sit slightly higher in the rear than the front? thats exactly the look i'm going for. what size tires do you have in the front? i've got 225/16 ponies on the front of mine i think... I wonder if the bumpsteer kit would help with this scraping. This kit looks great! i can get the whole setup on AM for just over $500 shipped, so i think i'm sold on it...

and it handles well you said? a somewhat comfortable ride? i'm lookin for something that will give me slightly better 60' times at the strip but can still take the twisties!

and i don't think ill have a problem with the pipes hitting, mine is a custom H pipe with no cats, and i've got a 5 speed... they system is pretty well tucked up except for the 40 series flowmasters just before the axle..

I have 225/50 15's on the front. I cant remember the rear. It sits a little higher in back because of bigger tires and the back was dropped 1.25" and the front was dropped 1.5"

I like the ride and your car will launch and handle the twisties much better. I took my friend through some roundabouts and he couldn't believe how fast I can go through them. I think the words from his mouth were "Jesus!"

After you get this kit you will be wanting some slicks...I know I do

I put the order in today for the struts. I am pickin up the shocks and springs next paycheck. Can't wait to put these things on. My OEM setup is pretty bad.

Anyone know if i'm gonna need caster plates?

Thanks!
