84 Mustang
Hey guys I went and looked at a 84 Mustang with a turbo 4 cyl. The guy wants $1800.00 for it. It has a straight body and ran good. The body had no rust. I was just wondering how hard it would be to put a 5.0 in it down the road. I am in no hurry to do the swap. I am very mechanically inclined so I know I can do the swap no prob. I just wanted to know if it was a direct bolt in. I know I will need motor, tranny, wiring harness, axles, computer. I just wanted to know what else and if it was a good idea. I will try to post pics later. thanks.

its easy, forget the efi and save alot of work and money and youll get more return on your upgrades
My car started out as an efi 4 banger

I have thought about building it but I don't know much about the 2.3T, I guess I have some reading to do.

the 2.3T honestly won't make the same power as a 5.0 for the money you put into it. However its just the unique factor that i think is cool, sure you pull up beside another mustang or camaro or whatever bust his ass...and then the look on their face when you tell them you have a 4 cyl. its priceless used to do it when i had my 88 thunderbird turbo coupe which had a 2.3T in it.
