Rattle-Can?
Im feeling cheap, So im going to do a rattle can paint job, I thought i lost hope on it, but oh well, Im gonna go back at it, Whats some good brands? Has anyone else done a rattle can job? How shitty does it turn out to look?

I guess it depends on if your finger gets tired or not
![]() It is hard to get a consistent coat, specially with a gloss rattle paint. I'd see how much one of those really cheap jobs from Maaco or Earl Scheib if one is on your area. I've seen them run specials for like $299 before. Yes it is a $299 paint job but I bet it will look a lot better than a rattle can + your time and money to do it.

yeah if you do all the prep work and then take it to maco it can turn out pretty decent if the prep work is good maco will only scuff and paint

i would go to maco myself if you didnt wont to pay alot of money, IMO you will hurt your self in the long run when you do have the car painted but thats just me.

i used krylon flat black on my 5.0 super cheap
fuck maco save up and get a real paint job maco is such crap my fox when i just bought it ![]() my more reliable grocery getter ![]() this one i used about 10 cans of that cheap 99 cent walmart crap turned out patchy bought this car for 400 bucks only thing wrong is the broken headlights io beat this car to death never a single problem

iam not saying maco is the best paint shop but the time he will spend getting the krylon off or a bodyshop getting it off it will cost him. he posted the didnt want to spend alot of money so maco is the way to go. by no means would i use maco but i would befor i would rattle can my car...

If you have or can get access to a compessor and a spray gun, Dupli-Color sells pre- mixed paint by the quart at most auto part stores....

i had my cutlass painted after i had it flat black for about a year and i used a power sander to get the paint off easy as pie

You must get harrassed by the cops in that all the time. I have one just like it with factory white paint. It gets 28 mpg. I drive it more than my gas guzzling explorer.
