Traction

So, after spending the better part of an afternoon researching the best street/strip rear tire I can get my hands on, I still don't have a straight answer.

Do I get a BFG drag radial, a Mickey T E/T street, or a Nitto 555R ? I do most of my driving on the street with a trip to the strip once a month. On the street, I drive with "enthusiasm!" (LOL). The car is turbo'd and has around 500rwhp.

What should I get? Which do you use? Opinions?

Thanks...........TXBKR!

555R would work best with your application. when you want to hook up just heat them up longer than you would with a mickey thompson. they actually do pretty good if your tire pressure is right and you did a long enough burn out

Mickey T E/T street hands down... I daily drove my 91 gt for four years with these tires (not all four years on the same set) and never had a problem you just have to exercise caution in bad weather don't be a douche about it and you'll be fine. They hook better then any nittos i've ever had and my daily driver now has nitto 555r's on it and they suck balls. When I have a serious race lined up with the dd car I switch the mt's on it then they go back on the turbo car.

M/T ET Streets or ET Street radials. Don't even entertain the thought of Nittos. If you are going to buy Nittos then you might as well buy a set of BFG Comp T/As.

I run a set of M/T drag radials. I couldn't ask for a better tire for my application. They seem to be wearing just fine also.

M/T all day long. I have them on my car and they are great for the street and the strip.

I'm gonna try and sum them all up.

Tires-ET, ET street, ET street radials.
1st mods- Any bolt-on, including and perferrably Heads, intake then cam.
Stroking- The biggest available
Trans- The strongest available, drag racing, built c4 with a brake.
Rear gear- the gear that brings you closest to your mph goal at redline, in your 1:1 trans ratio.
