hey guys need some help....


okay so im in the middle of changing my power steering pump out and the lines and now im thinking about doing my rack and pinion to since to not to expensive but i dont know how to tell if i have sport or standard suspension I have and 88 mustang gt made in 02/88

Hmmmm.....didn't know there were two versions. I've never been asked that before when buying a rack for a Mustang.

i dont think its the suspension they are refering to. i think its specific to the rack and pinion. they have a sport one which say is 5 turns from stop to stop and a standard one which may be 8 turns stop to stop. making the sport rack and pinion more responsive.

I'd go with the sport rack then.

I think the difference is lx vs gt rack, I had an lx and it was more turns to lock than my gt is.

yea if i turn the wheel completly to the right then to the left i get about 2.25-2.50 full turns
