1991 Lx 5.0 Need Help!!!

Sorry it took so long to reply ...the car has 130k ....im giving it a full tune up today hoping that will do some kind of change....thanks guys for all your post

ya I would start by checking everything and tuning it up. clean the EGR valve ( i think it is) and that sort of thing. I had loping in my idle a long time ago and I just cleaned the EGR (has a cylindrical screen in it which I flushed out with carb cleaner) and it cleared right up.

then bump the timing if you can. Me and my father played with my timing and it was crazy. the car had some timing adjustments made to it by a previous owner, and we had to mess with it cause I had put nos on the car. we moved it back to stock timing and the car didnt run right. thought that was wierd, maybe my car has a cam in it. dont know.

also, see if the throttle body is dirty. and then clean that out with apropriate cleaner maybe..

Don't expect for it to be a tire frying machine because it never will be in stock form. Automatic 5 liter cars don't spin the tires much unless you do a brake stand. Especially the convertibles.

I think I'm having dejavu...
