Wow, this little thread sure blew up! lol Nothing new in the works currently except that I got some 3.73's instead of the 3.55's I had originally planned on. I need to find a set of wheels to put some drag radials on. I have heard 275/60/16 will fit on the stock pony wheels?

my friend has an 88 LX. ported gt40 irons, comp xe 272 cam, and a cobra intake and made 313 rwhp and 354 rwtq i just saw it dyno again on saturday. it has lost some torque since the initial dyno last spring...we think the rings are bad because it smokes some and uses oil...

it was seriously like 370 something about a year and a half ago on the little 15" 10 holes. its been having some issues lately and with turbines w/ 275/60 M/T drag radials it made around 350 tq the other day. i havent been to the shop in a couple days ill get a print out of the dyno sheet and scan it on here

keep in mind that his dad is an expert tuner & owns the shop so he had plenty of dyno time to get it right...we cant really explain it..just think it was the perfect combination..everything complemented eachother well

Horsepower = RPM x Torque / 5252 Torque = Horsepower x 5252 / RPM Those are the formulas always. Torque and horsepower also cross each other at 5252 rpm always. What rpm was the horsepower and torque at on this engine?

Because horsepower is a calculation of torque and rpm with 5252 being the constant which is a number derived from a few mathmatical equations. Since 5252 is the constant in both formulas, that is where the horsepower and torque cross on the graph.
