It would be a pre assembled shortblock, most likely not high compression as eventually it would be intorduced to forced induction. I'm debating on the 331 vs 347 route still. I would most likely being going supercharger so if I do buy the complete exhaust I dont have to turn around and take it off, although I do love a well tuned turbocharged car. The rest of the parts going on will all be new aftermarket bolt ons such as intake manifold, heads, throttle body, injectors, etc. I am also looking into the 373 gear but it would be much nicer if I could just replace the whole rear end. Does anyone make brand new rear ends that would have the 373s with disc brakes?

This is my firrst go around with there stuff you say that like you have tried it or something? I would say around here for that car if it ran good and drove tight you might be able to get $2,700. How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? Around here they go at a good price i bought a 85 gt that had all the usuale damadge seat reiped cracked bumper whole nine well any thing that was good i took lol it had cervini hood and hatch the hood is on my car and i keept the hatch i got it and a wrecked 91 4 cyl for $500 and sold them for $1,700 in 2 days and striped and junked the 91. I bought my clean 97 gt with 119,000 miles for $5,000 so stuff does not bring as much as it does else where.

I found this for you to tell if it is factory or not.
Let's clear up what "factory" is and what "aftermarket" is.

If your T-roof car was (allowed to be) ordered with the T-roof option, it will have a code for such on the Vehicle Certification Label ("door sticker") and on the Body/Buck Tag (metal tag attached to radiator core support, behind driver-side headlamps). The VCL will have a "D" code under the "S" (sunroof) column. The B/B Tag will have a "TR" code, usually on the first line. No, Ford (Dearborn Assembly) did not do the conversion. Cars were sent to Cars & Concepts (C&C) for the conversion and then back to Ford for final QA before being sent to the selling dealer. The car was ordered that way through Dearborn, and meant to be built that way. It has the codes proving such. This is a "factory" T-roof.

Cars & Concepts also did conversions for Ford dealers and car owners. There were also authorized C&C dealers/installers that used kits from C&C. Then there are people that did the conversion on their own by cutting from one car and adding it to another. Regardless of how these conversions were done, they were not originally ordered that way through Dearborn, and they were not originally built that way. They do not have the D/TR codes. This is an "aftermarket" T-roof.

Nice ride bro .....I didnt read all of the posts but you can probably get those seats repaired fairly cheap...I would check that before replacing them, also check 50resto.com they may sell replacement skins for them, I havent seen those particular seet skins but the ones I have seen in leather were a lot less expensive than replacing the seats

+1 with the house of color paint....you definately can NOT mix anything with it...when you are ready to do your stroker contact Jim he goes by woody1 on here he is the owner of FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts. and is a kick ass guy and a kick ass machinist/motor builder. He can set you up with about anything you can dream up
