Question

is this info correct?

"In 93 they changed to a "roller ready" block, which is still a flat tappet hydraulic cam, it has the bosses for the spider to hold down roller lifters. All that it takes to convert one is to drop in mustang rollers, spider, and roller cam. These are marked "F4TE" above the starter on the block. 96-97 351's came from the factory with roller cams."

i need to know because ill be in the junkyard looking for a 351 here shortly and want to be able to use my tfs roller cam.

my '85 had a roller ready block. as for the 351, not sure when it was a "roller ready" block but '93 351 was a roller block

i bought a non-roller block, took it apart and had a machine shop drill the 2 holes for the spider and have no problems with it

Yep....look for the F4TE stamp and dont be fooled when you break it down...it will have flat tappet lifters...but the holes for the spider will be pre-drilled and threaded in the valley..

Dude I went to pick a part near my house and spotted at least 10 trucks with 351's. I thought maybe it was a sign I should snag one lol
