seats


okay guys my seats backs will not stay locked can i fix this of is it best to just find other seats

there is usually a "clip/bracket" that either brakes, or rusts. if you pull off the side covers usually black plastic (not sure about lX seat) you will notice this small clip. shoot a little WD-40 or other personal favorite lube, and work this piece of metal until it frees itself. (it can be pretty tough).

hey hopper cant send pms yet but the rocker your talkinging about moves freely it just wont catch and when it does it doesnt take much movement in the seat to release it

you probably have a loose seat hinge pin that connects the top to the bottom portion. try lifting the top part abit or shakking it, if you see movement this will indicate the pin is loose ie. the hole is ovaled. nothing you can do buddy, pehaps shove a shim in her or see if there are any over sized pins you can get

sounds like a good excuse for some new recaro's

my old ones had the same problem although it was the small clip bracket in the back of them that secures them from moving that was broken so whenever i brake the passenger seat would jus shoot forward... told i could either weld them or buy new seats... i was never too keen on the crud 80's jumper looking material on the standard seats lol
