TFS is awesome, but i have a friend with the edlebrocks on his 89 notch, and it makes awesome power, i think all he has is those heads, X Cam 1.7 RR's,GT40 tublar intake and bolt on's and the car made like 364 RWHP

unless this is a 347 with some serious port work on the heads

im going off what he told me, so i can't really argue if its right or not i do know that with 3.55's in the car he ran 7.70's in an 8th mile. with no power adder what so ever. but like i said i'm going off what he told me, but i did see the 7.70's with my own eyes.

For 1350 an authorized corral.net advertiser "artsparts" can get you tfs fast as cast set of heads shipped. These are the 190cc un cnc'd version of the cnc 185's. By the time you pay for tax and shipping from summitt for the
170's you'll be about 1350. Then send a build sheet to jay allen for a cam. And don't let people tell you those heads are to big for a 302. It's a big head and large duration cam that will make the car a gutless terd. Get someone who knows what they're doing to grind you a cam instead of randomly picking one. This is what I'm gonna do anyways. Actually I'm prolly gonna go with tfs 185 cnc.

I'm raising the BS flag on this. Your friend is lying to you or he has a ton of port work done. That combination wouldn't make 364rwhp even on a 347.

As far as the 7.70s goes, that is about a 12.10 in the 1/4. Far from impressive if he had 364rwhp. That kind of power at the wheels in a fox body will put in in the 10.90 range at about 124mph. 12.10s is really a walk in the park with a 5 liter Mustang.

That is a far stretch that Summit charges $100 shipping, because they don't. Its more like $10. But $1350 is a good deal for for the 190cc TFS heads. Do you have a link to where he says he sells them for $1350? I might buy a couple sets right away.

+1 on having Jay grind the cam.

Then you need a TFS CNC 185 or a 190cc or a Canfield. The standard 170cc TFS head is too small.

1350 is what he quoted me shipped to my door. The standard 170's were 1150 shipped.

tax on 1250 is about 100 dollars so there's 1350. Just sayin...Not trying to argue with our 5.0 leader
