i guess...so...wonder where i could find the measurements..? or if they would vary by manufactuer or eve what the measurements for a stock pulley is

Look at them. Underdrive pulleys are obvious. If you are in doubt, post a picture.

yea i can probably tell by looking i was just curious never paid much attention to it..but would underdrive pulley's cause the cooling issue i described as well??

I don't see any problem with your cooling. The factory gauge is a guide at best. I wouldn't worry about what letter the needle is pointing at.

^^^ True. Just swapping in a new sending unit can change the reading two full clicks.

The power window circuit is wired for 20 or 25 amps, just to give you an idea of how much current those old window motors draw. I just rewired mine to use the window motor circuit for my bottle heater.

The regulator is built into the Ford alternators, you can replace it though.

In general, any time you do anything with the stock style Ford aleternator on the fox body, you should wire in a new pigtail and inspect at least the first two feet of those wires that run back to the battery. The design of that plug is crappy and uses two 1/4 spade connectors that are known to corrode and possibly catch fire or at least heat up and melt something. With the alternator hanging out on the bottom because of the Vortech, it is probably even more of a problem.

100% correct.
if you have that style alternator do no replace the alternator without also replacing the connector!!!
