Which kit do you want to know about? Street or Track?

I think the track heat kit has different upper and lower manifolds. I could be wrong though.

Yes the difference is the intake. I would suggest putting your own kit together because the cam they offer with the kit is a bit on the small side for the rest of the combination. I would run the Track Heat or R-series intake with the Twisted Wedge heads and the TFS-51402001 cam. I've made 320+ horsepower at the wheels many times with this combination.

Darrell,

How does the AFR 165'S and e303 match up or would you
suggest another cam for these heads as I head they are
awsome from quality to performance

I'd use something a little bit bigger like one of the TFS cams.

afr 185's and a e-cam is a good combo. i have a friend that has this combo with a holley systemax intake that puts down 328 rwhp on a stock bottom end. there are a ton of good combos out there. shop around!

this kit will be going on the stock bottom end. I want to be able to just install the kit without having to notch the pistons. Also this car is my daily driver.

Darrell, im looking to use the cam you mentioned in my 351w roller along with the r-series intake and twisted wedge heads. will the cam be ok with the stock pistons and 1.6 rockers? also, do you know what length pushrod i will need w/ these heads?

thanks

Is there a big difference to ported cnc heads in hp gains? I
was looking at TF and AFR with a litttle
heavier cam, but hard to find a good combo when there are so
many choices. Anyone have suggestions

I've run the TFS stage 2 cam on many stock short blocks and never had to notch pistons.

Should be ok but you should always check valve to piston clearance. Buy a pushrod length checker to determine what length pushrods you need. That is the best way to do it.

Yes there is a big difference. More airflow equals more power, always. An internal combustion engine is nothing more than an air pump. Air in, air out equals horsepower.

So, if I go with TF twisted wedge heads CNC porting and stage 2
TFS cam, this would set up well. Could you recommend the TF heads
I would need being ported and assembled so all I have to do is
basically bolt them on and go. I appreciate your help

Trick flow heads are one of the only 2.02 valve heads that work on a stock 87up bottom end.

If you are going to spend the money on the CNC ported heads I'd spend the money and get a custom cam from Cam Motion or Camshaft Innovations.

they custom fit a cam for the setup I am describing without
giving them exact specs?
