hey guys here she is...

well this is a mustang a former friend of mine bought and never touched it... so he sold it to me for $800. So far i have done more work to this car in one week than he has in 3 months

so far i have put in a new power steering pump and took of the rack/pinion and cleaned that up.... next is a clutch not sure which one to get so any opinions would be great then maybe some motor work thinking about pulling it not sure yet.

oh and unless you plan on putting a lot of power down, i would just get a factory replacement clutch or maybe a spec stage 1

Yeah, I would get the Spec stage 1 if your just rolling around in it, but if your looking into making some power look into a 2+...

BTW- I would probably get rid of that "cobra" plate on the stock GT intake... Other than that looks like you have a nice little project on your hands.

Before you do a clutch, decide on your power goals. I keep my distance from spec, they always seem to chatter and the non-sprung hub clutches are murder on the transmission.

Are you using power adder as a term for parts that make power or a supercharger/nitrous/or turbo? If you talking bolt ons a standard clutch will suit you fine ( something like a king cobra ) but if your talking supercharger or the likes you need to beef it up a bit to like a spec 2+...

I completely agree, i've had nothing but problems with the two stage 1's I tried to use in the past.

IF your sticking with stock power then go with a cobra clutch, it'll last long, good holding power on stockish builds and easy effort on the foot at a decent price.

I have been running a 100 shot and doing street/strip driving for a year and a half with my King Cobra clutch... it's holding up well.

King Cobras will hold power pretty well and the feel just a tad heavier than stock.

okay so king cobra would be the way to go... BTW im new at driving a stick i mean i can drive one pretty good for never touching one in my life... I guess thats where working on a farm for 5yrs and learning to drive a clutch tractor comes in handy but i dont want to spend alot of money on a clutch that i might just end up ruining

hell, I think I have always had the stock clutch, and Ive never replaced it. I had 125 shot of NOS for some time. The clutch is still good. But anyways, the king cobra is one I remember my friends talkin about.

That car is nice! reminds me of my friends 5.0 back 10 years ago. black, lowered, gt.. he had centerline rims on his though, but it ran good and it was DROPPED.

hey guys heres an update on the car. I was planing on putting her on the road till some curve balls were trown my way this past week. Some how my front windsheild got busted not pointing fingers, but i believe my two younger siblings might have done it. When they were playing baseball in the yard with there friends but none of them will fess up to it. And i dont have the money to drop into putting a new windsheild in right now ... I also have found somethings in the engine bay that need to be attended to right away. Shes got the RUST!!
hopefully not to bad and it wont cost me my left nut to fix,but im going to be pulling the motor soon so any advice or tips would be helpfull since this will be my first motor extraction. While its out i plan on cleaning it up alot maybe looking into some heads, cams, intake, and maybe fuel upgrade will see how much i get in grad money first lol. But I now have six months to work on the car cuz i just paid my dad the money to drive his van around for the next six months. Anyways ill be taking pics as tackle this task.

Is the KC any different than the Motorsport HD? I have the HD in my 91 Mustang and although it grabs great, it is *extremely* rough on the left leg.
