oil in intake plenum

So im replacing the gaskets between my upper and lower intake, and i took the cover off of the edlebrock upper intake, and there was a puddle of oil in there. just wondering if thats normal or bad? if so how do i fix it? thinking about removing EGR, does that mean i need to turn my fuel pressure up at all?

Normal. Not good, but normal. On hard acceleration the oil runs to the back of the lifter valley and is sucked thru the PCV valve into the upper intake. No need to remove your EGR. It isn't going to gain you anything.

Probably not because then the vacuum would close the check ball rendering the PCV system useless.

Don't you have a blower on your car flatty? If so then you shouldn't be using a PCV valve. Pressurized crankcase is bad news.

Yessir. I'm not familiarized with pcv systems at all, and I need some edumication on that. BUT, by pressurized do you mean boost going back in the motor through my crank case vent?

Yes. Use breathers instead of a PCV.

No you won't need to turn up your fuel pressure because you removed the EGR. I don't understand what the connection is there. Removing your EGR will be a waste of your time unless you remove the EGR spacer as well. If you remove the EGR spacer you will need a delete plate for your throttle linkage to connect to like this one http://www.accufabracing.com/images/CabBracketJ.jpg

Even then you will be successfully making your wallet lighter and not making anymore horsepower or any benefit.
