soleniod wiring?

where does the black single plug go thats in the wire harness. it comes out of the harness right next to the solenoid and is a female connector plug. the car wont run unless i run a wire to the ground from the plug, so i know it needs grounded but i need to know what it plugs into so that its right, i know this is confusing but i dont know how to word it and have no camera

By the battery? If so its the computer ground.

yes but there is no other connector for it that i can see where should that connector be coming from and what do i do about it?

just ground it to the chasis.
