Start at 32 degrees. From there you have to see what the engine likes.

If it's a fuel injected car look into chip burning. With a socketed ecu, you can run an emulator from companies like moates.. it's a live feed emulator that can make changes on the fly when paired with a nice computer program like tunerpro RT. It uses a definition file to locate coolant temp sesnors correction maps, 02 correction, maf correction, timing and fuel adjustments. The easy to read graph is self explanitory, just start conservative and pull timing for nitrous runs. What's cool is if you have multiple maps saved, you can open the file for nitrous in 5 seconds and your timing is good to go and not even have to put the timing light on it(even though I would suggest it)

Socket - 10 bucks
Bag of chips - 20 bucks
Chip burner - 180
Tunerpro RT software - 30 bucks
Old lap top - 300 bucks

I ran those on my nissans and Im sure that the ford ecu is similar in how it can be edited.

cheers

yes it is. but i recommend getting a dyno tune and having the tuner burn a tune or up to 4 different tunes and your car will perform tremendously. If you dont want a dyno tune I believe you can get in touch with SCT when you order the chip and they will send you the chip with a tune(s) already burnt on it but I dont think it will be as good as a dyno tune. i recommend dyno tuning especially for people who run nitrous just so you can flip the switch and your car will be as ready as it can be for the spray.

I run a MSD 6AL box and a MSD multi-step retard box! The multi-step can retard timing in 3 diff stages! I pull 2 degrees on stage 1 75 shot and and 4 more on stage 2 100 shot! alot of people use the third timing retard for starting the engine! Always run at least one range colder plug & if you can afford it racing feul when you know your gonna run alot of nitrous! I do, Its a cheap insurance policy against blown head gaskets and detonation! Like the others said ALWAYS pull 2 degrees per 50 shot or 1 degree per 25 shot! Get the timing computer and always have your timing on spot! If a 2010 Camaro pulls up next to you, you wanna be able to give it your all! Dont let our bread down!!!! lol This is on my 93 mustang not the 08
