yeah. i want to have a 185cc head but i just want to find the right price. I would love to have the edelbrock intake i was talking about, a custom cam, and TFS 185cc heads. I just think that would cost a lot of money after i buy studs, rockers, gaskets, etc

Canfield heads are nice too. You will have to cut your stock intake valve reliefs a bit wider though or go with a different piston.

yeah i know about the valve reliefs...i will probably end up tearing into it in early june/late may and just doing it right the first time. canfields, custom cam, edelbrock intake. what do you think about that pro flow edelbrock? I have never seen it before besides on the internet. it makes sense and looks bad ass...that intake design seems a lot more efficient than the usual 5.0 design

I have no idea what intake that is.

What are your goals for this engine?

i would like to have it rev to at least 6k and leave the door open for a stroker and/or nitrous within a year or two. definately make over 300rwhp which i know is attainable. Edelbrock.com - Performance Carburetors, Cylinder Heads, Intake Manifolds, EFI Systems, Fuel Pumps, Crate Motors look under the ford intake manifolds, universal EFI, it is the pro flow xt it is awesome. check it out

Cost 20 bux to notch my pistons....Little dirty...but dont exclude certain heads due to notching pistons...These were just done for TW heads for my new jay allen cam.

I don't base performance on "how it looks like it will perform". I'd like to see some feedback on it first. I'm more of a Super Victor EFI kind of guy myself. I know that intake works.

oh yeah, I am not going to buy something without knowing the facts and what people say about it after they have used it. Would the super victor EFI be too extreme for my set up or would that be a good choice?

i just don't understand why more people don't run the super victor on their cars, everyone always sticks with the eddy rpm's and holley systemax's. The super victor flows better..is it a lot more expensive?

is that too much intake for the average street car....the rpm range is 4500 to 8500

EDIT....where do you get the elbow for it

The advertised rpm range means nothing really. The total package will dictate the rpm range. Those numbers are very generic with no regard to different cubic inch engines or specific parts. Of the shelf camshafts are the same way. A matched combo will perform well. Combo picked out via advertised rpm ranges will perform like a turd. Often you hear "single plane intakes don't make any low end power" or "big ports kill low end torque". Those statements are completely false.
