don't buy new ones. just get better rear lower control arms and uppers if you have the budget. then you can just leave the quad shocks off

If you are interested I believe autozone or advance auto sells the Gabriel version of them for fairly cheap, or you can look into some KYB quads, but the KYB's wont fit with a 9'' wide rim unless you get a wheel spacer.

I don't know about the other part you're looking for though.

why? are you going to restore the car?

Quad shocks are only good at getting in the way.

lol if you like throwing money into a bon fire then fine. I dont understand why you wouldnt spend a LITTLE extra money to replace something that actually benefits handling and the initial launch of your car at the strip or on the street. buying new quad shocks gets you nowhere. if you buy better control arms they make quad shocks useless

Maximum Motorsports sells Bilstein replacements if you're really insistent on having them.

However, if you have a good set of lower control arms, you can remove them as they're no longer necessary. Ford put them there to make up for the deficiency of the stock suspension, remove the deficiency, and you can remove the band-aid.

Regardless if they do any good or not...

When I bought my mustang... I replaced the quad shocks with some from Oreilly auto parts... the old ones were literally falling apart. It was my daily driver and I had no plans to race it or any of that, but I wanted to replace them.

You can get the mounts at your local junkyard.. keep in mind they were only on 5.0 cars. The 4 cylinder cars had the holes in the subframe to bolt the bracket, but did not have the brackets or the shocks.
