Where can I buy wheels
I need 17x8 cobra R wheels for my 89 mustang
I'm running 17x9's up front right now with a 245/45/17 tire and it's rubbing and I can't drive the car like that. So this is what I want to do I would like to buy 17x8's and run a 235/40/17 Hoping that they won't rub anymore. Where can I buy some that look like this. Just the plain snake in the center cap. Not with the R in it. ![]()

i'm not sure why your tires rub...i have 17x9 cobra rim with 245 45 tire on it and it doesnt rub. try the bump steer kit or get wheel spacers

i don't want the steering kit. I want to turn all the way like I do now
I think the 17x8's will solve the problem and the 17x9's stick out to much it looks retarded. And I don't like it. I need 17x8's with a 235 tire on it. and american muscle don't carry the same kind.

What ever you decide to get... the backspacing measurement is just as important as the width. Depending on the backspacing, you could get a 17x8 that sticks out too far or hits when you turn too sharp.

I thought that when you order them that they don't ask what backspacing
its the same for all our cars. Just specify 79-93 and the backspacking is suppose to be correct. when you are ordering like lets say WELD wheels then you tell them what back spacing you would like on cobra R you just state 79-93 and that's all am I wrong you telling me I'm running 17x9's with wrong backspacing for the fronts. the rears look awesome. They fit perfect. Don't stick out what so ever

I bought them used I didn't know they were going to rub like they do. I just need to get some 17x8's
the 17x9's that are up front now I'm gonna keep as spares and put some drag radials on it for when I want some traction just swap out when I want

I guess I could just buy these.....the center cap is different. I'll just have to drive around with mismatched wheels
