Rust in EGR spacer?

I am replacing almost everyting on my top end w/ trickflow parts. After removing the throttle body I noticed alot of moisture in the EGR spacer. The 4 studs are very rusted and I can't get the EGR spacer to slide off. The moisture in the EGR spacer is very dirty, I am pretty sure it is not oil. Does anyone know where the moisture came from, and should I replace the EGR spacer?

I just did the same thing to mine 2 weeks ago. That build-up I believe is from the coolant that passes through it. I also could not get the egr spacer off, let us know if and how you where able to get it off

I got it off! ha sounds bad, lol. I broke two of the studs in the process. If you take some "liquid wrench" and spray the studs down. Take a large flat screwdriver and wedge between the EGR and upper intake. It took three days of soaking and moving back and forth little by little. A quicker fix if take a small pipe wrench and try to remove the studs. This will mess up the threads so watch out, also if they are really stuck it will break the studs off. Which is what happend to two of mine, but i saved the EGR.

Ha, that is what I am working on now. Summit Racing sells a kit TFS-51500093, but I don't want to wait on the mail.
