Tell me about my cam


Trying to figure out waht has been done to my engine, Im guessing it has aftermarket rockers? (1.6 vs...??)

That seems to be a decent cam. int .520" @ 236* ex .538 @ 246*.

Sell it. Ford Racing hydraulic flat tappet cam. Its useless. A cam card won't tell you what rockers are on your engine, you will have to pull a valve cover.

that's not bad on the lift .... thats not a really rowdy cam but it's not horrible...and yeah the cam is not gonna tell you what rockers you have but if the lift is that on 1.6 then the lift will be 552 571 with 1.7's just do ya know

lol some people tell me its decent some people tell me its shit. It doesnt idle the way I want to (too tame). What are some suggestions on what kind fo cam I should get? Looking for a nice lopey idle, good low-mid range torque, midrange horsepower

Yea, I overlooked the fact that its a flat tappet. I assumed it was a roller.

You can tell how rowdy a cam is by lift huh........

What is this camshaft in?

no you tell how rowdy it is by the duration thats' why i put the periods in there between the lift and that.......

lol rowdy doesn't mean fast.

I bet a lot of people with a stock cam and 1.7 rockers will run better times than guys with rowdy cams.

Its a 5/16 reverse split pattern asymetrical sadi core cam ....matched with .600 lift springs its un-stopable

No its not decent. I'd take a factory HO roller cam over that cam.
