Looking at buying my first mustang

Hey im new to thread, and am going to look at a 1988 5.0 lx coupe with 170000km for $2300. I love mustnags especially these cars, but ive heard alot of pors and cons about these cars, but they are all gm guys. So iwanted to go onto a mustang thread to get people opiniongs who have acutally owned one or more. Thankyou all for your replies everyone is appreciated

Go for it! Mustangs are great carsbut like any older car, they take time and patience to have them like we want them. You will always find something that you want to do to it.

he said it was stored in underground for a couple of years and where i work we have detailers so they could shine it up but just worried about any rust, and how it looks underneath

i have a 1989 GT with a 1993 cobra motor, with a lot of aftermarket parts. if anyone is interested. interior will need some work but drivetrain is finished for a everyday driver.

I bought a '89 GT convertible with 177000 km 5 months ago and I love it so far but as mentionned before, it will take time and money to get it the way you want it and as somebody else mentionned, you'll always have something else you want to put on it so just be careful it doesn't become a money pit...if this is even possible with a 5.0 !!

( I also noticed that a nice Fox draws a lot of attention so if you like to go unnoticed, find another car!!)
