Which of these two cams?


Speed Pro CS1217R 1500-4000 RPM 280/290 adv.duration .448/.472 lift 112 lobe cente

OR

Speed Pro CS1020R 2000-4500 RPM 290/300 adv. duration .472/496 lift 112 lobe center


only 15 bucsk extra when added to my engien rebuild kit so thats why Im going with only those two.

go with the second one.

with a 112 lsa it should hold decent vaccum and the lift / duration will be a torquey setup for a standard rebuild.

Make sure you get some nice valve springs for any higher lift cam.

any kind fo springs you can recommend? SOmething not too pricey as Im on a very limited budget. Definitly lookign for some nice torque as its a street car with very limited track time and mainyl stop and go traffic. Stock ones wont cut if for the second cam eh? (also any way to know if the previous owner put any kind of aftermarket springs in?)

It's not that the stock ones wont cut it. It's that most of our cars have 90,000+ miles on them. The stockers are old and worn out.

what all is done to the car.....dont buy a cam just cause you want the lopey sound, sometimes it will hurt you more than help you...+1 on the springs definately change the springs

i honestly dont knwo what has been done to the car. Its got the stock holley on it, edelbrock performer 298 mani, smog and ac delete and some kind of ford racing cam. Other than that, i dont know

Crower 84013 - Crower Camshaft Accessory Kits

little over 200 isn't bad considering I paid nearly 600 for a set of valve springs and retainers for my honda lol

Its impossible to pick a cam without knowing the rest of the combination. Either way, I'd use the stock roller cam over either one of those things.
