Im not exactly worried. My dads capri only got about 12mpg. The 350 engines just seem to be overall better, better gas milage more horepower. Thats why I asked about the mpg because I hear good things (mpg) about the 350s.

My old 5.0 with 3.27 gears got 23mpg highway. My current one gets like 17 but it's got 4.10's in it. I drive to school everyday and cruise around sometimes and make one or two 80 mile round trips a week and I still have a little less than half a tank left after the week is over, amazingly.

Its all in the efficiency of the engine. I had a 91GT that ran 11.50s and got 25mpg on the highway. I had a blower car that made 562rwhp and got 20+ mpg on the highway.

how much would removing a catalytic converter help mileage?

haha pretty much. Most people just buy an offroad mid pipe instead of hacking the stock one.

In theory it would help, I have never seen it tested, so I couldn't say fosho.

I love those IROCs. Especially the blue ones and the red ones. I hate driving them and think they are uncomfortable as all hell but I love how they look.

20 year old paint still looked like new

and it was a 350 tuned port car, hauled ass to about 45 mph lol
