so i got 42 pound fuel injectors and a high torque starter. My normal rutine is that i start the car, by giving it some gas and wait for a minute while idling because the loping doesnt seem to like the cold and will wither out if i dotn give gas for a few min.

so now im siting in a little trafic after 5 min of driving, stand still... im idling, and the car just slowly turns off. im like "ok" i normally see that when im in the drive way. then it Wont start. starter (battery) both fine and working. sounds normal when i start it but when i give the gas a kick to start the car it doesnt make any difference.

wtf is up. it rained yesterday but i dont think i took any water in, the oil/gas/and fuel pressure check out. any advice to start her?

well guys, need any info soon, then ill delete the thread. The thing is nothing major happened and everything sounds normal. almost like my fuel filter is clogged or something. hm,mmmmmmmmmmmm

are you sure there is fuel and spark?

Check the fuel pump!!
and the tfi module and pickup in the distributor..

i know where its located, what am i looking for exactly, i thought once they cool down they are okay if you have a problem.?

'check the tfi module', i'd assume doesn't mean "find where it is, and if you know, you're alright". check it out. make sure nothings broke on it, test it out (or take it to someone who knows how, which would be what i'd be doing).

the pickup in my distributor didn't cause an idling problem, it just wouldn't start or run because there was a short somewhere in it. i'd check the pickup in the distributor first, jiggle it around when you get it to start, and if the car dies, that's part of your problem. i was driving down the road and my car just died, so it doesn't take much for those to really affect your car.

well obviously i realized that there is more to just finding it. My question was if it needs any modification since ford had a recall on it. I inspected it and i may take it to a shop to get it looked at. My car has a loopy idle and seems to dislike the cold. that wasnt the problem. Everything checks out except the refusal to fire and ignite the engine.
