Low pressure ac switch

For a while now the ac has not worked in my car so I was looking around and read that if I jump the connector at the dryer (black cylinder passenger side firewall) that if the compressor kicks on then I either have a bad switch or low freon. Every time I have tried to fill it up the needle was always in between caution yellow and danger red.

My question is, would the low pressure switch make it so I am unable to fill up on freon and thats why it always says im running close to danger full?

it isnt ur switch that wont let u fill, u need to check ur pressures with gauges. ur sure u still have freon in the system? if u do then u dont have a leak( which is great). recycle what u have in there now, put vacuum to it then fill it and check ur pressures. u could have a clogged orafice tube, or bad compressor. not that hard to do
