mass air meter question

I recently converted my car to mass air with an a9l and a mass air meter out of v6 taraus or sable i think. I read on a write up what mass air meter's work and the numbers on the top of it were correct meaning it should work. Also my friend use's the same mass air meter on his car with no problems. Anyways' since I've done the conversion my car devloped a problem where it runs mega lean where withing 10 min of running my headers are glowing red. Should I purchase an acutal foxbody mass air even though everybody say this one should be fine? I've narrowed it down to either the mass air meter or 02 sensors.

Red headers is not lean. Its either pig rich or the timing is off.
